Check out Postcard, a cafe inspired by (guess what?) Japanese vintage postcards and artwork of the Taisho era. Opened by the team from popular open-style temaki restaurant Nami Nori, here’s what you’ll find in this grab-and-go cafe:

Gorgeous Interiors

Designed by Sarah Carpenter & Studio, the lively and playful space includes vivid red walls and arched ceilings inspired by Japanese lacquerware, green wallpaper with botanical and geometric motifs, quilted butter yellow banquette seats, dusty pink tables, creamy, peach walls, light yellow and white marble checkered flooring, and an oversized, curved glass and polished metal display case that contains all the cafe’s freshly baked goodies.

Delicious Food and Drinks

Try their yuzu langue du chat, miso shortbread cookies, black sesame banana bread, chiffon cake fruit sando, chicken katsu or egg sando, and raspberry mochi donuts. Postcard’s bubble teas, which are made with leaves from Japan, are available in matcha, hojicha, sencha, sobacha, and black tea. Toppings wise, there are Okinawa brown sugar boba, coconut jelly, and house made syrups. And you can get coffee made with beans from Coffee Project NY here.
