Here’s what’s on offer:
The Bottles
A collection of three exclusive bottles featuring Basquiat artwork. The first two bottles – Great Jones x Jean Michel Basquiat Dinosaur Edition, and Great Jones x Jean Michel Basquiat Skull Edition, which contain four-year-old Great Jones Straight Bourbon costs $39 and on sale in liquor stores throughout New York State, the Great Jones Distillery and online retail partners. The third bottle – Great Jones x Jean Michel Basquiat Pineau de Charentes Wine Cask-Finished Bourbon Distillery Exclusive, which contains a seven-year-old Pineau de Charentes Wine Cask-Finished Bourbon, is priced at $150 and is available exclusively at the Great Jones Distillery.
The Bar
A specialty pop-up called “The Basquiat Bar” that serves a menu of Basquiat-inspired small bites and signature cocktails like The J.M.B featuring Great Jones Straight Bourbon, red bitter aperitivo, molasses, fresh pineapple juice and lime. From 7 to 30 September and October 5 and 6, the bar is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 10 p.m.
The Tasting Room
A “Basquiat’s New York” whiskey tasting room housed within the distillery’s multi-sensory Barrel Room. Here, guests can sample whiskies while surrounded by oversized Basquiat imagery, larger-than-life decals, and nostalgic items from 1980’s New York.
The Tour
The “Distilling New York x Basquiat – VIP Tour” where you can sample whiskies and learn more about Basquiat and his work. The tour is available on Thursday to Saturdays from September 7 to 30.
The Merch
A capsule collection of Basquiat-themed merchandise designed and produced by Rome Pays Off, a New York City brand that celebrates art, culture, and style.
The Class
A hands-on cocktail making class led by one of the head mixologists at The Basquiat Bar.
